The Tallest Mountain in England and Wales, Yr Wyddfa, more commonly known as Snowdon is 1085m/3560 feet above sea level!
The most popular mountain in the UK has a multitude of routes up to the summit from the long gradual Llanberis path to the steeper tracks of Miners, PYG and Ranger or the quieter Rhyd ddu path and the adventurous Watkins. That’s not to mention all the Scrambling and rock climbing routes!
Yr Wyddfa is the mountains preferred name, It comes from an ancient Welsh Legend of a giant called Rita who wore a cloak made from the beards of defeated kings!
